Asian Games 2026 Sailing: Hong Kong Tops the Medal Table

Hong Kong topped the sailing medal table at the 2026 Asian Games with 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. Racing ran from 26 September to 3 October at Kaiyoh Yacht Harbor in Japan, with 146 sailors from 22 nations across 14 events.

Hong Kong's sailing strength

Hong Kong has a deep sailing culture, with major clubs around Victoria Harbour and Hebe Haven, and a long record of producing windsurfing champions: its first ever Olympic gold came in windsurfing in 1996. Topping the Asian Games medal table continues that tradition.
