RYA Advanced Powerboat Notes

High-speed powerboat handling, navigation at speed, rough water, night pilotage and rescue techniques: the RYA Advanced Powerboat course, valued for chase boats, sport-fishing yachts and high-performance tenders. An extra course, not a rung on the ladder.

The RYA Advanced Powerboat course is two days, including a night exercise, for holders of the Intermediate Powerboat certificate. It costs about £350 to £500 and stands out for jobs on chase boats, sport-fishing yachts and yachts with high-performance tenders. These notes follow the RYA Advanced Powerboat Handbook and the syllabus, and each lesson lists its references.
